For the past few weeks, maybe months, there has been an absolute media circus surrounding the budding relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift. To be honest, I'm not the biggest T-Swift fan, and I am absolutely not a football fan (barring the Eagles from that statement). I didn’t and still don’t know much about Travis other than his brief stint in reality television. And honestly, most women who aren't into football probably didn’t know much about him either, so here are a few stats.

The title of this article was purposefully click-baity. I am not here to talk about Travis and Taylor because honestly I don't really care about their relationship. To me this relationship and those stats signifies something deeper, more spiritual, than just a celebrity relationship. What Taylor has done for Travis Kelce, signifies what the divine feminine brings to the table.

So what is “the feminine” anyway?

First and foremost the feminine is an energy. It may be quantifiable, or unquantifiable but is nevertheless an energy that everyone and everything that has existed, or will ever exist has inside of them. Feminine energy is also creation energy, multipliable energy, and inevitably, destructive energy. The simplest and most applicable way to understand the feminine is through Mother Nature. She is a manifestation of source energy. Everything we have comes from her. She creates beautiful landscapes, delicious berries, and interesting creatures. She also destroys with massive hurricanes, terrifying tsunamis, and city destroying earthquakes. Women are also a manifestation of this energy. We take what is given to us and we multiply it. This is potentially seen from making a house, a home, using our creation power to multiply humanity via children, and even as simply as taking singular ingredients to make a cake. We also have the ability to bring society to its knees by withholding our creation energy, if we so choose. Although I believe that women create much more than children, our creation energy is often understated and taken advantage of.

So…About this damn table.

In 2023 many of my single girlfriends are often asked “What do you bring to the table?” To me, this is a very disrespectful and entitled question. One that I've honestly never been asked in my life. Thankfully. To me the question is disrespectful because it signifies that the person asking doesn’t place value on what the feminine actually brings. That, or they are hoping that the person they are asking doesn’t understand what the feminine brings and will get the benefits of that energy for free. Rightfully so, many women are getting tired of being asked this question, and are starting to reply, mostly in snark with “I am the table”, or “I bring my appetite”. While these are seemingly clever retorts, they are still problematic because they still fundamentally devalue what that energy truly brings. You, as the feminine energy, bring A LOT to the table

We fundamentally do not trust people without the feminine.

Why is it that every elected president we’ve had in the United States (barring maybe two?) has a wife? What is the meaning behind the quote “Behind every great man, is a woman?” This question is multilayered and in truth has many answers. In my opinion however, the common link is feminine energy. It’s the same reason women are used to sell things, the same reason men who are married are more likely to get a promotion, and make more money . Without the feminine, men and masculine people seem untrustworthy. Because the feminine is essentially the portal to life, we are the choosers. We choose who is deemed worthy not only for access to all that we bring to the table, but on a basic survival level, we choose who gets to have a legacy, whose genes get passed on into the future. No one consciously thinks about this but because the feminine is so powerful, we bolster the value and the integrity of the men and masculine people we give our time, attention, and ourselves to. Feminine energy gives men longer lives, access to a higher plane of creative thinking, the ability to be trustworthy, and ultimately immortality. This is why I truly feel sorry for women who feel that they have to perform masculinity, or take on the traits of men to be seen as more powerful, or to be taken seriously.

Everyone has feminine energy.

While I spoke about feminine energy in terms of gender, I am really only doing so because we are currently in a paradigm where generally women and the feminine go together. However, it would be a mistake to use energies as interchangeable with gender. These are two separate concepts. This isn’t really a disclaimer either. I don’t believe in disclaimers because you either catch my drift, or you don’t. This is an inalienable fact about energies because everyone and everything has masculine and feminine energies. In some people, one is more dominant no matter the gender. Even places have masculine and feminine energies such as New York and Hawaii. Because we are conscious beings, we are steadily evolving to become more energetically fluid. I believe in the future, we will have figured out how to balance our dual energies.

So back to Taylor and Travis…

I think it is a mistake to underestimate how powerful feminine energy is. No offense to Travis, or the football bros but Taylor took him from a rather obscure, albeit objectively good player, to a world wide figure. Even non-Americans know who he is now. Not only can feminine energy up level those around you but you can use it to up level yourself. I have used my own feminine energy to secure my own bag, lose weight, make my skin glow, and grow my hair. It may sound very esoteric but metaphysically your feminine sexual energy is the single most powerful force of nature. The feminine also does not take well to being ignored. If you find an aspect of your life in disarray, it may be because you haven’t figured out how to balance your energies. On the other-side though, letting feminine energy run rampant, can lead to addiction, and mental illness. While I did not talk much about masculine energy (that’s a whole article in itself), I know that they are complementary to each other and work together in oneself, and permeate throughout the rest of the universe in divine union. So the next time someone asks you what you, as a woman, bring to the table. Know that without you, the table wouldn’t even exist.

you have near-telepathically expressed the exact words and functions I’ve always mentally & spiritually attributed to the feminine and feminine energy alike! its strength, majesty, reasoning, and power of judge, jury and sometimes executioner. And i immediately relate to the example of Taylor x Travis! You can see that the mere thought of them together has shifted the avenues in which we relate within threads of pop culture.
